Hey guys, have a 2014 883 iron.
recently my speedometer cluster and indicator light strip beneath it stopped working. The harness has 12 v to the speedo. ....Any ideas as to how to determine if the problem is with the speedo or the ecu. Also, can a bad speedometer cause the indicator strips to stop working as well?
*note* there has been condensation build up in the speedometer assembly.
do you have the electrical manual?
there are many inputs that must play nice together and if you loose one, the speedo functions will change. it is too comprehensive to post here but if you send a pm to me, i can see about sending some info that can help. they call this scientific progress.

the speedo shares the ground for all instruments and controls. Everything works besides speedo and indicator strip
Again double check the grounds, light strips share the same ground. If the ground is good for the speedo but the wire is broken between the light strip it doesn't do any favors for the light strip.
