Hi folks, yes I did a search first, and no I didn't find exactly what I need. What I do need is a process to activate my security system without having a valid Fob and my closest dealer in Fort Myers (Rock Star) will NOT activate it because it is "too old"...
Here are my specs... I have an 03 Road King Classic, it does have a security system, it does have the Security module, I did NOT get the security code, I did NOT get a Fob. When I turn on the ignition the Security Key symbol comes on for about 5 seconds then goes off.
I can start it and ride all day except if I leave the bike I have to lock the ignition and forks...
I have been told that security system has probably been disabled with a valid Fob, but I have no valid Fob.
Just recently I bought 2 Fobs off eBay and have tried to activate the security system by using the methods outlined on this Forum but to no avail.
I would really rather not by a new TSSM if I don't have to.
Thanks, Rick

What is the part number of the TSM/TSSM in the bike. Let's make sure you have a TSSM. FYI, getting in the way back machine, I think there are fobs for domestic and international TSSMs. Let's start with the TSM/TSSM PN.
OK, I will have to wait anyways. I thought I could explore a fix for this ahead of time. Don't like to leave it vulnerable... I went for a ride in Feb with a group in Naples to a car and motorcycle show. When we got there I found that I had lost my key and fealt threatened leaving it unlocked. Good news is that when I went back to our staging area three days later there it was right where I had parked. Luckily I had a spare at home.....
In the owners manual under Factory Security System section you will find the way to add FOBs to the bike. Here is the screenshot from an 05. I know this procedure works on an 03 because I did it on an 03.

Hi, I did try that process but I'm pretty sure I didn't wait long enough for the last step. I will give it a try again in the fall and get back to you. Cheers, Rick
