I have a 2017 Street Glide Special FLHXS that is completely dead except for the blinking security light. I rode it to a garage and it was running fine a month ago. When I went to pick it up, it wouldn't power up. I have changed all the fuses as well as pulled the battery and had it tested. No fuse were blown and battery was fine. The only thing that I can come up with as to what happened is when I put the cover on it may have caused the battery tender lead to short out on the exhaust. The tender cover was missing and that's the only thing I can think of that happened, but I thought that would have blown a fuse. The red light steady blinking is the only thing it does, and the turn signals don't flash when you shake the bike. Going to try to go thru it this weekend, does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong or what to check? Thanks
Check it for error codes first , might lead you in the right direction . Post your findings . If you had your Fob present , it's possible that's the reason your system security didn't activate . Change your key fob battery as well , might be due .
Be a little more specific when you say it wouldn't " power up " . What exactly happens when you turn the ignition on ? lights , fuel pump prime etc ?
I think you can rule out the battery tender connector. The exposed male pin on the connector is negative (ground). If it contacted the exhaust (also ground), no ill effects would result.

Sorry I mean it does absolutey nothing at all. Their are no error codes nothing comes on or lights up. I have the red security light that is blinking but nothing else at all. It's like it doesn't have a battery in it. The battery i had checked and it's good, they load tested it and it was fine. It was running fine when I took it the garage. I changed all the fuses but the Red Maxi fuse, and it tested good, and when you pull it the red security light stops so It's working. When you shake the bike the turn signals don't flash it does nothing. Ignition to on and or accessory makes no difference at all. I had the fob present
Check both Pos and Neg cables , both ends and in between . There could be a break in one of the cables , worth a shot . After that , check connections at the starter as well . If you have a voltmeter , check for power to the fuse box also . What about the ecm , check connections there too ... Just brain storming here .

I did check the cables when I pulled the battery. I figured I had power to the fuse box as the security light is blinking, and when I pulled a fuse it sparked. I will double check the ECM. I do have a V&H Tuner installed but it's never gave me any issues. I removed it but it's made no difference.
Have you tried to power up the bike with the FOB not present, using your PIN?
Yea It makes no difference. with or without the fob. I'm not getting a pin screen. It's like there's no battery in it at all except for the blinking red security light. Thanks
