Default No Start issue

First thank you to the group new member. Also new to Harley Ownership.
2001 Electra Glide ultra classic.
Lets start from the beginning.
went to go get the bike and the guy had the battery hooked up backwards. Would not Start.
pointed out he had the wires on backwards he reversed them still no start. fuel pump turned on but no start when pushing the start button.
brought bike home. did some further inspecting with a buddy who is a Harley owner, both of us are very mechanically inclined. after further diag. all fuses are good except the ACC 15 amp fuse keeps blowing instantly.
power to the relay constant yes signal to relay from start button yes no signal to starter wire figured bad relay took the one off my buddies bike installed still same thing nothing.
bypassed everything used a remote start switch starts right up and runs.
I do have a key FOB for the alarm i think we got the security system to turn off the alarm finally stopped going off.
my question is both relays for brakes and start do not work we tried different relays and have power to relays is there something i am missing that i cant figure out.

Before you worry about getting it to start, you need to fix the short that is causing the accessory fuse to blow...

One step at a time.

I am working on it all
the short also happens when rear brakes are applied. So I have narrowed it down so far to a ground short maybe in the rear fender area will know more when I remove my rear tire.

I have also ordered new start relay.
everything else seems to be working

Review wire loom under rear fender.
If rear was lowered then there is a high probability that wire loom under rear fender made contact with tire causing several wires to become damaged.

Yes you are missing something very basic...You are trying to solve an electrical issue without looking at a wiring diagram.

You already replaced the start relay with a known working unit and the problem persisted.

Buying a new relay is not going to solve the no start issue, you have already proven that it is not being caused by the relay...

The problem is most likely that the TSM/TSSM is not providing ground for the relay, which means you have a problem with the security system.

Look at the diagram (the ground circuit is highlighted in Red):

Removed brake relay and acc fuse stopped blowing
holding just the relays where bad
but will be removing tire soon to replace anyway so will review wiring in rear fender as well

mine didnt work in his bike either.
I have tried the TSSM programing as well without any luck
I do have a key FOB and it does work.It turn Alarm On and Off
I am just waiting on parts to be delivered now (Relays)
when those come in I know for a fact I have good known same relays

Yes Thank You
You are correct I check that wire for a ground signal from TSSM and there is not a ground signal coming into the Relay. i did however ground the wire and controls started the bike like normal.
what does that mean i need to reprogram the TSSM to program password or what

I don`t know what the problem could be causing the TSSM to not enable the start, either a security system issue or a bad TSSM.

Did you get the bike in this condition?

I`m not an expert in security systems, in fact, I am most likely the least experienced person on the planet when it comes to the security systems used on vehicles...
