Default Problems with rear lights after powder coating

Recently I had my rear break light mount powder coated. After the lights wiring harness was wired back up just like I removed them. Once I plugged them in none of them were working (front or rear)

so after some trouble shooting this is what I have noticed:

When I have one of the rear bulbs replaced, the front and the one bulb in the rear is working correctly (brakes and running lights). Bulb can be on either side left or right.

when I plug in both bulbs on the rear light bar it turns all the lights (front and rear) off.

I assume the circuit is not being completed but cannot figure out why.

any help would be appreciated. This is driving me nuts!

As noted earlier the ground connection.
Lights require positive and negative(ground).
Powder coat is not conductive so ground is lost unless you compensate for it.
The chassis contact (bolting point) would be the ground.

Wait until you know what the bike is. My bike for example provides the ground to every light separately with a wire.

Sorry I forgot to mention it but The motorcycle is a 2016 Street Glide. From what I understand though the ground is through the wifing harness so not sure how this could be a ground issue?

While it is true that there are ground wires in the harness, the grounding has to occur at some place or places on the frame. That is what you need to check. If there is a ground for the taillight it's possible that the new powder coating is interfering and needs to be sanded or filed down to metal.

I doubt HD make many changes so I would expect the main wiring ground to be a point emanating from a stud on the crankcase of the engine.

The grounding points for the electrical harness will be on the frame.
