I installed the detachable tour pack kit on my 2016 Ultra. This kit includes the saddlebag light kit. Once installed and tour pack removed, the flashers blink normally but I get the hyperflash on the dash. It spits out a trouble code for an open left rear flasher. If I connect the tour pack, the hyperflash goes away and the flashers blink normally. I disconnect the tour pack and hyperflash. I have tried all of the recommended resets involving the emergency flasher sync. Nothing works. Took it to the dealer and they couldn't figure it out. They called HD and the techs there couldn't figure it out. Everyone recommended the emergency flasher reset. HD wanted a video of this problem and we sent it to them. That was a month ago. This is a canbus system and should not require a load equalizer, but I suspect that will resolve this. HD is selling a $300 kit that does not perform as promised and will not fix it. So, for any of you considering this, be warned in advance. You may be one of the bikes where it doesn't work. And that will cost you another $100 to fix the problem. My guess, the LED lights they sell are not canbus compliant. Way to go HD. That's why Custom Dynamics or other aftermarket companies exist--to fix the problems that HD creates.
Yes. The flashers, front and back, flash normally. It is the dash arrows that hyper flash. Been that way for a couple of months. The emergency flashers also blink normally, on the dash too. The trouble code shows an open left rear flasher.
Look there are 3 parts to that section, both turn signals and a module for them, this all goes between the main and tail light harness. If the signals themselves are working then it is most likely the module.

You just have to turn the flashers on, then turn the bike off. let it run for about 5 mins, turn the bike back on for about 2 mins and then they are synced. The hyper flash will go away.
Tried that multiple times, multiple variations. Dealer tech tried different ways, too. For some reason, that fix doesn't work on my bike. Factory techs have no answer either.
