I have an 01 Deuce, that the HL won't come on! Checked everything ,bulb connections, etc! I changed my front and rear blinkers .The HL worked fine as did the blinkers! Now no HL! Blinkers work taillight works,no bleeping HL!! Checked the fuses one circuit does not have fire,it's the fuel pump circuit, no power to it.Bike ran then after finding this problem it won't start now! Does the HL run off the same circuit? The fuse for the lights and circuit work fine!! I'm out of thoughts I don't want to elaborate any further please help!! Bike is an 01 FXSTDI
Yeah I was hoping maybe someone had a similar problem! But I guess it's time to learn something new!! Not to good with schematics! But like a lot of things in life you don't have to like it,you just have to do it! Thanks Buster ! Had an uncle called Buster, and he was one mean sob!! A fitting name for him!!
hd has a portal that you can download a schematic.
one of several nicknames to separate between my father who has the same name.
sounds like a short if the fuse blew, ohm the fuse to make certain.

The fuse for the lights is fine! But no HL.Now after checking the circuits at the fuse box the fuel pump fuse has no power to the circuit at the fuse box.All other circuits are good just the fuel pump circuit at the box has no power! Fuses are all good

some models had issues with corrosion on the back side of the electric panel.
i had an issue with the headlight a few months back, turned out to be the bulb socket, went high resistance and melted into near by wires. i replaced with a ceramic socket.
