Help hand control

took right hand control apart to change throttle cable ..this copper piece popped out dont know where it goes ..help

Welcome to the Forum from Colorado!

That piece is the spring that holds the brake light switch in place. Place the switch back in and that piece acts as a spring to hold it.

The switch, item #7, goes into the lower housing, item #12 with the button sticking out through the hole. The little spring wedges between the the back of item #7 and the inside wall of #12.
