Searched and came up empty. I have scoot wired for Garmin GPS with power wire coming from headlight. Looking for an EASY conversion from GPS navigation to IPhone navigation. QUESTION-assuming I can find a converter from Garmin male mini connector to Apple male lightening connector, will power be sufficient to charge IPhone? Not sure but I believe Garmin is 5v and IPhone is 9v. Thanks for any info/suggestions.
There have been an assortment of Garmin charging cables over the years. The modern units mostly use USB-C
If you're retiring the Garmin to use iPhone nav exclusively, you can just pick up a USB charger to clamp on the handlebars. Then use a common iPhone charging cable.
Just wire it to the 12V power source that you're using now. If you're keeping the Garmin, then split the 12V between the Garmin connector and the USB charger. Look for a charger like this -->
Thanks and now for a variation on the theme. I currently have Garmin Nuvi 55 hard wired in headlight. I have just scored on a Zumo 396 which has different power connections. Anyone know if I can just splice Zumo wires onto existing Nuvi wires and be good? Thanks for any info
