Default Something to worry about?

I have 2006 Ultra Classic and have noticed that when I first start out the voltmeter on the bike will read a little under 12 but then after a few miles, will go to a bit over 14volts and stay there. From that point on it will stay at a bit over 14volts regardless of how many times I shut off and restart. Is this normal?

Don't trust the gauge. It's best to take off the seat and hook up a volt meter to the battery. See what your reading is. Likely between 12.5 and 13.5 v. Then start the bike. Put the volt meter on the battery again. This will show how much the bike is charging the battery. It should be over 14V's. Then you will know if the charging system is working properly and if you need a new battery.
