Default 1991 FLHTP Police Bike Wiring Diagram

Hi all, new to this forum. I am trying to help my brother who just purchased a 1991 FLHTP Electra Glide Police bike. He is having some issues with horn not working and the front passing lights not working. I found a PO had spliced into the low beam wire with a scotch lock to feed the passing lights and mounted a toggle switch to turn them on and off. We do not know why this was done or if it was part of the decommissioning process when the removed the red and blue lights. There is a little corrosion in the connector where the yellow headlight wire connects through and I think that is causing that wire to heat up a little for both the head light and the passing lights. I would like to get those wired back up correctly and fix the corrosion in the connector. Also, his horn does not work and for some reason there is an added horn on the left front fork with a button held on by Velcro under the original horn/siren button. The original horn has no power going to either wire. Finally the front tip light has no power going to it.

So what I am trying to find is a wiring diagram for this bike that I can print out to start tracing wires. Does anyone have a wiring diagram they could send me? I went on one site but cannot print the page. If I try to save the image, it prints small and if I try to enlarge it, it gets all blurry.

Thanks in advance,
Karl

I can`t follow your post, when you write a book it is very confusing.

Can you boil it down to what exactly you are trying to accomplish?

Sorry, just trying to give as much information as possible and I didn't think it was very confusing.

We are trying to find out how the passing lights were originally wired so we can get them working properly and how the horn was originally wired to get that working properly again. We would like to get rid of the aftermarket horn and horn switch that was added.

I tried that link and they do not have any subscriptions for his bike.

@Pepi-V

Where is the switch for the passing lamps located?

Does this bike have a fairing?

Thanks, Do you know is there a way to print those pages off that site? I was looking at the ones for 1991, but do not seem to see how to print them off.

This bike does not have "passing lights" switch, but it does have "Pursuit" light switch. We are assuming on civilian bikes, that would be the switch. On the R/H handle bar grip.

On a civilian bike the passing lamps would not be controlled by a handlebar switch, they would be controlled by a switch in the fairing or on the fork cover tin.

Do the passing lamps work?

There is no fairing on the bike, just a windshield. The lights were spliced into the yellow headlight wire with a "scotch-lock" and went to a toggle switch on the right side. You can see it in the picture on the R/H side. Right below it you can see a little bit of the blue "scotch-lock".

When you use the toggle the switch, yes. There were loose connections that was causing them and the head light low beam to work intermittently.
