@Vernal Yeah, That resistor pack has nothing to do about CAN bus.. I don't know what I'm talking about.. It's not related.

@Max Headflow

I thought the same thing when CC first posted, the term "terminating resistor", made me think Can Bus resistor.

CaptCrunch is looking for the resistor pack at connector 200. The switch pack sends P&A power to the resistor pack, depending which resistor the power goes to, (lock or unlock), the current going to the IM is different. IM gets the "signal" from the Resistor Pack and communicates to the BCM on Can Buss and a signal is sent to lock or unlock relay.

I don't see any resistor in the fuel pump or level circuit, but the resistor pack PN does mention sportster fuel level.

are you saying the resistor that is marked as a fuel pump/sender resistor could be miss marked? They're less than 20 bucks so i suppose i could buy one and see if i can get factory lock-switch functionality.

@CaptCrunch What I'm saying is I can't find a resistor labeled like that. Please post a schematic of a late model touring or CVO that shows it so we can get on the same page, I just can't find it.

Here are some schematics of 2023 CVO- SE and 2020 Touring. I just don't see a resistor in the fuel level circuit.

I cant find anything on it at all except it exists at connector 200 and isn’t named or shown anywhere else for what it is.

I was intending to say that I agree with you, and your findings match that of both my own research, as well as that of my local dealerships parts and service departments, whom Ive interrogated intensely on finding this part. The closest anyone can find is the fuel resistor.

Ive offered to pay the local techs to investigate a used CVO on the floor to determine a part number and they graciously offered to investigate free of charge when they have a free moment.

@CaptCrunch Did you get it figured out?

I wouldn't call it a fuel resistor. The diagrams I posted shows the Resistor Pack @ connector 200, the parts catalog shows it in the same area, so I think it's a safe bet that it's the one you're after.

I just received the resistor and its associated connector yesterday and i had a little time to mess with it so I temp’d it to test it. Across its three pins the resistors are approx 2k,8k, and 10k. When wired as shown in the diagrams to pin six on the IM nothing happens.

i think its possible that the IM needs to be flashed to support this functionality since it is responsible for translating the input from the locks to a CAN signal and requesting that the BCM fires the outputs.

If it does I will have to take it to the dealer who has generously offered to do any flashing related to this project for free. Ive already flashed the BCM to enable the power locks and they are fully functional with the key fob, but neither my Centurion nor my Texa gives an option to flash the IM for that particular function.

@CaptCrunch

Interesting, please let us know if you're able to get it working.
