02 RK FLHRI D10set code. Any electrical gurus here?
So I started getting a D10set code which states -Speed output shorted Low or open White/green wire.
I replaced the VSS and still engine light comes on to D10set.
*** D01, D02, D05 and D06 are VSS related but it was worth a shot replacing it. ***
Wire diagram shows the white/green wire going from the Speedometer to the ECM plug. I ohm that wire and got .6 ohms. Is this WNL?
I'm thinking I got a faulty speedometer. It still works but it does jump to 3-5 mph in neutral when revving the engine....
Hoping a Harley electrical guru on here can guide me.
I would want less than .6 but let might be ok.
My bet Is a loose or bad connection somewhere along the ckt
Connect the ohm meter up and start wiggling wires and connections to see if the reading jumps around.

The green/white wire goes from the speedo terminal to the ECM terminal. No other points in between.
it is normal for a speedo with some age to bounce. the speedo is electric and counters a spring inside which over time does relax.
you can try a jump around on that wire to see if the wire itself is the issue.
So I Ohm'd the white/green wire from the speedo to the Terminal plug under behind the side cover and got .1 ohm the from the terminal pug to the ECM plug and got .1 ohm. Plugged it all aback together and got .1 ohm from the speedo to the ECM plug. Since this is a Speedo output I have to question the speedometer is failing. There is no performance issues when riding the bike. The engine light comes on and sometimes stays lit for 20 minutes and sometimes 2 minutes.
