Okay guys, I need some help. I’ve read and reread wiring diagrams but I’m trying to do this while being extremely chemosick from terminal cancer. Thank you US military.
2016 SGS
one of my rear turn signal bulb sockets went bad so I rewired a new one. Both sides aren’t working. WTF
I wired the socket to the wires:SG. Socket
Black to black
Violet to red
Blue to blue
i am and was using led replacement lamps that have:
Turn signal
Brake signal
Running light signal
FYI….SG’s don’t have a center brake light.
where am I wrong.
Your help will be greatly appreciated bc I go full time sick for the next 5 days….bedridden.
Your new socket might not be wired like you was thinking. Obviously, the black is a ground. But red might be a running (5W filament) and blue is a turn/stop (21W filament) so you messed them and the BCM on your bike has shut the circuit down detecting the short between run and turn/stop lights. More likely you've got you security light on the dash constantly on because of it. Try switch violet to blue and blue to red.
