Default Need Help With ACC

Hello,

Brand new to HD forums and owning a Harley.

2016 Dyna Switchback. Looking to add lights to the highway bar.

I purchased Kewig lights.

They have a module that is fused and runs to the battery through a SAE connector. That part is self explanatory.

They won't turn on unless the "ACC" wire is attached. My understanding is this is a wire that needs attached to something that is "keyed" so the lights turn off with the bike.

In my headlight bucket I found a wire tapped to the harness. It is blue with a black stripe with a female connector and is capped.

Does anyone know what this wire is used for?

@benny.d Welcome to the forum from Utah!

That's the Front Running / fog light power from the BCM, should be what you hook the yellow wire to.

Just a heads up: If you do not add an on/off switch in the yellow wire the kewig lights will be turned on all the time the ignition is turned on

@FXD 2003 I appreciate the heads up - it looks like they have a switch from the module. I haven't ordered the lights yet, I wanted to make sure they'd work first.

Thank you for the help.

Very happy with this kit. Installed in under 2 hours including adjustment.

This kit had everything I needed except the spade connector to go to the blue/black wire:
Amazon Amazon

I used the screw on the ignition module to hold the switch.

I used a wire hanger to fish the ACC line under the tank to the headlight bucket.

All the other lines I ran under the bike and connected to the inside of the frame rail.
