Default Handlebar switch
09 ultra, changed switch covers on left bar. Wondering if a pinched wire in housing will cause it to act like a bad voltage regulator. Thanks

So, you changed the left switch housing cover and now you’re having an issue that’s acting like a bad voltage regulator?

Yes, replaced switch covers on left side. After that headlight and running lights didn't work. Started bike noticed on dash guage over charging. Took switch back apart found pinched wire on headlight dimmer switch.

Have you done any troubleshooting on the VR?

Did a voltage check at the battery before finding the wire problem. Thinking about pulling and doing a bench test on it. Will check back in a bit... thanks
