Question about fairing speakers

Default Question about fairing speakers
I have a set of Polk speakers I am thinking of swapping out the OEM speakers with. Question is the Polk speakers are 4 ohm and the OEM speakers are 2 ohm. I am stereo stupid please explain what is the differance and can I swap them. Is there any advantages are disadvantages. I know I can get Hogtunes but I have these here and at no cost.

I put a pair of Polk mm561 61/2 inch speakers in fairing. 3 ohm impedance work fine, you can go higher in ohms might loose a little volume.

So if I do swap them it will not harm the head unit or anything correct? Plus who sells an adapter plate to go to a larger speaker say a 6.5"?
