Electrical on 95 heritage
I have just bought a 1995 Heritage, Issue i have is when the bike is running and i turn the ignition to turn on the lights the bike dies out. I can start the bike with the lights on and its fine just cant turn them on after the fact.
Any ideas

When the selector is on ignition it runs. When i turn the selector to lights the bike dies. I can start and run the bike with the selector on lights just cant turn the lights on once the bike is running as it will die. I just rode down the street with the selector on ignition and switched while i was going down the road the bike shut off but restarteds as i was rolling.

sounds to me like your ignition switch is wired incorrectly or better yet dirty contacts.
