Default Adding a front fender tip light question...

I went to locate the plug for the wiring of a new front fender tip light for my bike. Well, I found the plug, exactly where I was told it would be, behind the headlight.

Only one problem, the light for my HD tach is plugged into it. Does anyone know if there's a splitter available so more than one item can be plugged into this power source or is my only option to splice the fender tip light cable into the same wires that are used for the tach light? (Or, does HD sell the individual connectors so I can make my own splitter?)

It sounds as if a previous owner has used that connection when adding the tach, or the kit recommends using it. Simplest thing to do is to use auto electric parts to wire both wires into it. An alternative is to use correct Harley parts, however that can get expensive. The parts will be available from your local friendly dealer, however the tiny pins and sockets that fit inside the plastic housings need a special tool to crimp.

I suggest getting a simple wiring kit from an auto shop, so you can say cut the tach wire and install an additional 2-into-1 connector, to take tach and fender light.

A quick splice wiring connector will do the job...
