Default Burnt Top

My son has a little problem with his 08 dyna, maybe someone has some helpful info. Seems he trashed the top end by installing a thunderheader and not doing any adjustments to the computer, anyway,I have some left over jugs and pistons from my 04 88 inch electra glide when I went to a 95 inch kit . His bike is currently a 96 inch. Can he install the 88 inch parts on his bike to get him by untill he gets a little more cash ahead? Any help is appreciated, Thanks, Babyray

I am 99.9% sure the jugs and pistons are the same. The stroke is different. I could be wrong but I don't think so. I'm sure they'll work.

I believe that part if not all of the added stroke came from relocating the wrist pins. I could be wrong though.

Cylinders yes pistons No. The pistons are shorter in a 96 to accommodate the added stroke. Bore your cylinders to 103 and buy new matching pistons. And get the bike tuned right.
