Woods lifters & S.E. tapered quick install pushrods

Got new set of woods lifters and was wondering to set the S.E. tapered quick install pushrods to 2.5 turns as per H-D or go to 3 turns out as I prefer. I have not used the woods lifters before. Thanks

Check with a qualified builder

If you have 32 TPI push rods then 3 full turns are very comfortable, however check with a reputable builder because I believe they are going a full 4 turns and 2 flats. I'm thinking thats the luxury of using hydraulic lifters...

if i remember correctly when using the Woods lifters ....need to follow his procedure for adjusting the rods !!!

What's the preload spec for the woods? If .1 then 2 1/2 turns for se premium tapered as they are 24 tpi. 3 turns max which is 18 flats.

I believe that he wants .130" pre-load.
