Any benefit to using Cometic gaskets instead of HD.? Getting my heads re-worked and will be re-assembled...

IIRC, Cometic makes the headgaskets for HD, at least the SE version. Use the Cometic MLS (MLS=multi-layer-steel) or HD equivalent. Don't want to skimp on gaskets when doing your build. Penny wise and a pound foolish.

BTW- thank you for your service to our country.

The Cometic EST MLS gaskets don't crush, so if looking for a .030" for instance, that is where it will be.
We've run those up at 14-15.1 cr on a couple builds for local racers, and no failures.
And as long as we are talking this, the closer you can put the piston to the cylinder head w/o contact under normal operating temps, the less chance of detonation as well as a more turbulent chamber.
