Let me rephrase my question. What brand and style AC do you have on your bike?

Are you sure that the rubber seal around the back side of the filter is seated properly all the way around to the backing plate?

Would that cause a noise only when it's warm, when it's cold there's nothing. I will check that tonight when I get home I tried getting the cover off last night, they must have used locktite it's on there pretty good. I appreciate the input

Sure it will. when it's cold everything is tight and as it heats up it all expands. especially where the intake runner meats the head......

Removed air filter cover and filter and started the bike still get the same noise when warm. Sounds exactly the same it's not constant but at a low idle it sound to me like each piston going down on an intake stoke is pulling so much air it causes this whistle or squawk. Heads have huge valves and now with the flat top pistons and these cams seems to be a bad combo.

Can someone please shed some light on the whole relationship between the size of the valves in the HTCC heads in combination with the flat top big bore pistons and the SE 251 cams. Id like to know if theres anything I can do to eliminate the intake noise. I know nothing about the duration and size of the lobes on these cams and how they along with the size of the valves may cause this noise im hearing.
