Guys, I'm hoping to get some thoughts from the tuning experts out there. I recently had my '07 softail 96"er swapped out for an S&S 106 Hot Setup Kit including flat top pistons, 583 ES gear drive cams, S&S pro-stock heads, 58mm throttle body (as recommended by S&S) and a SERT. I broke the motor in last week as suggested by S&S and took it in to HD for a tune. 3 hours and $300 later I got the bike back with attached Dyno sheet. The shop was closing, so I didn't have a chance to go over it with them, so I rode home. On the ride, she felt like she ran well, but not much increase in power from the seat of the pants feel . When I looked at the dyno, a couple things jumped out at me, for one, the torque and hp curves cross at around 4400 rpm. Aren't all curves supposed to cross at 5252 rpm? I've never seen one that didn't, no matter how much power they've got. For two, the AFR seems waaay to perfect, like a straight line was drawn all the way through. And third, and most importantly, 93 horse?? Seriously? Could the build be that bad? Thoughts? Any help would be appreciated.
Who did the install? What was the compression on a gauge? Front cylinder have the same number as the back? Cams may not be lined up. Might be a pinched o ring in the camchest causing the scavenge side to not scavenge the oil out fast enough and flooding your crankcase with oil causing low hp. Most guys call that sumping.
I'm not sure what the compression was, the build was done by a local Indie while I was deployed. So, I guess I could have any of those problems, where do I start?
