I have an '09 Ultra with stage 1, power commander, V/H true duals w/ Rush slipons with 2.75 baffles. I haven't rode the bike in over a year an a half due to being injured. I replaced all my gauges. I just installed S&S 551 easy start cam and S&S adjustable rods. I had a dyno done at dealership. The bike idles fine with a nice sound from the cams. This is were I have a problem and hope yall can help. I put bike into first gear and start to take off and it sounds like its loading up and spits and sputters and an occasional small backfire. It runs fine after getting it going. It does it worse when I ride two-up. My oil pressure at idle is about 9 and bout 31 at operation. I just changed all fluids with Mobil 1 in motor and Amsoil in primary and trainny. I have more valve train noise is that due to my oil, cam, or adjustable rods? What is causing the spit, sputtering, loading-up, and back firing? Sorry so long just trying to give a brief of all that has been done and going on. All help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated
Your tune is on the fritz. Take it back to the dealer and have them re-tune it to where it should be.
+1. I am betting that the dealer didn't "tune" the motor but loaded a map and tweaked the map for peak numbers at WOT and did not tune partial throttle. Your tune is off.
Valve train noise could be minimized with more preload on the lifters but sometimes more valve train noise is a function of a performance cam.

lot of good answers so far.
I am having trouble following your timeline. you have not ridden in a year & half and you just installed easy start cam followed by dyno. so when was the dyno & cam install? a bike sitting for 1-1/2 year could pickup the issues and with some miles clear up or not. thinking injectors, bad/stale gas?
I haven't rode since October 2013 when I got hurt. The doctors released me to ride at the end of April 2015. A friend and myself put the cam in the first of May 2015 and had it dynoed the same week. That's when the problem started. I had the map that fuel moto had on it before the cam swap and dyno stored on my computer. I put that map back on but the problem still exist. I also replaced all the fuel with fresh 93 octane and put Seafoam in oil and gas. Replaced both spark plugs. What is funny to me is that my buddy did an upgrade to his 103 to 107 with new cam and dyno at same time an place. He is having the same problem only at about 2500 rpm in third gear. Thats why I'm at a loss, any further ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
I'm a little cornfuzed here. You say you installed the cam and had the bike Dyno'd and then re-installed the old Map you had in the ECM before the swap out?
well that settles it for me. bad dyno jobs. How much did you pay, if all they did was the famous wot to produce a graph then it never was tuned.
you should have taken it back before you flashed over the map they did. If you saved it then first flash it back, take it back and ask them to tune it right.
The map from fuelmoto was not one that included the cam. perhaps ask them if they have one for your new cam.
