Hot running engine!
We think riding in 100 degree plus riding is hot-that's nothing for you guys in the Middle East!
If you retune and can adjust your AFR table into the high 12's to low 13's as opposed to 14's, you will notice it running cooler. You won't get as good gas mileage but your motor will thank you...
Also, I run a 126" high compression motor and last summer I switched to Liquimoly oil and noticed cooler oil temps as well as a noticibly quieter running engine, especially in the valve train.
I don't run any fans or oil cooler...but the hottest it gets in summer where I live is 100-105 F.
Then, in slow or stop and go traffic, the Oil temp as measured by the HD digital dipstick would hit 300 F!!
So, I changed to synthetic oil...first Syn3 then later Amsoil...cause syn has a higher cook point. I added the Wards fans & replaced the factory oil cooler with the Jagg 10 row with fan. I wired all the fans to the accessory switch, and turn them on anytime I'm not at freeway speeds. This all keeps my oil under 260. I didn't experiment to see what contributed what. But, in traffic with the fans off it will go into EITMS. Whereas with the fans on it never goes into EITMS.
Keep cool...
