Default Removing auto compression release

Is there a good way or a trick to removing the factory auto compression releases? Don't want to buy the HD tool at $41 if I don't need to. Thanks.

I make it a point to add in smaller items like that with parts...>$100 nets you free shipping

This is the way to go right here. Go to home depot, lowes, harbor freight, etc...Anywhere with chinese tools. Grab a deep socket for 10 bucks, cut a slit into it and your good to go. This is what I did, worked perfect.

"Fat" ... That's exactly the way I made that friggin' socket for tightening/loosening the turn signals on the light bar of my FLHTCU ... What a ridiculous design! :>)
