Default Weight difference between 96" and 117"

Finally finished up my 117 build/install and am curious if anyone knows the weight difference between a stock 96ci and a 117ci. I have put 70,000 miles on my old setup with a fair amount of mountain twisty riding and am noticing a different feel in the corners especially when doing downhill twisties. Things definitely feel different

Any info would be appreciated

I don't know but thinking about it, the only component that adds any weight is the rotating/reciprocating mass of the crank and pistons; all other components are the same. I can't see how there would be much difference in weight between the two but truly don't know.

Was thinking about the increase in piston size and crank weight plus weight of 110 with larger valves vs stock. All and all the bike just feels heavier.

Maybe i'm loosing it!!

It's going to be a touch heavier, but nothing you're going to notice. When I built my 120, I built it on the bench, then removed the engine I had in the bike and put the completed 120 in. The previous engine was a 95", I didn't notice much difference picking the 2 engines up and carrying them across the garage.

No offense, it's probably your heightened senses, and you being more cautious with the new ponies.

It shouldn't be more than about four to five pounds if that much.

Maybe check the area between your chest and belt area. I've heard it all now.

Hey hope that coffee's not too pricey.

BTW an 800lb bagger w stage 1 hp and a rider that gains 20lbs on the gut will "feel" roughly a 3 hp loss...................
