Default Big bore kit

so I'm looking to install a big bore kit over the winter but just for labor it's 1500 and parts is 3k I have the book for my bike and I'm very mechanically inclined how hard would this be to do myself I have plenty of time to work on it just curious if it's possible to do by myself

Look up Fuel Moto on YouTube. They have step by step videos on installing a big bore kit. That way you can see the process and determine if it's something you can do.

Thanks I will definitely do that I'm upgrading the 96 I have to a s&s 106 with 585 cams and Harley ported heads

I've got the same bike, and did it myself in my garage. Like already mentioned, watch the Fuel Moto videos and it will walk you through it. With the videos and a factory service manual to help you, it's definitely not a terrible job.

107",good flowing 1.9/1.63 heads,585 cams with compression set at 10.5-1 is a very good build,done many times

You wont be disappointed. Very reliable. I have about 35,000 miles of my 45000 in the 106 build and it's still fun to run.

3K in parts is WAY expensive,have your cylinders bored,have your heads done.a very nice 107" kit can be done for under 1500.00 in parts (all parts needed)
