Hey guys I'm going to be working on a couple bikes over the winter and wondering on some opinions. One bike is a friends 14 ultra and the other is my 14 SGS. Usually I'd call fuel moto for their 107 kit, but these are being done a little different. On his bike, an exhaust stud is broken that needs to be drilled out so heads have to come off. He wants to do some budget upgrades while it's on the lift. Basically cams (Andrews 57?), lifters, pushrods, and most likely .030 head gaskets. Any recommendations on which lifters or pushrods (or different cams)? Now for my SGS, I'm basically thinking the same engine with some head work done. Scott at hillside was nice to talk with when I dealt with him recently, so I'm leaning towards him for the head work. Anything else I should be looking at? Inner cam bearings will be changed of course. Both bikes will be tuned with power vision. He has a 2/1/2 exhaust (rhinehearts I think) and a SE a/c. Mine has a 2/1 D&D fat cat and kuryakyn alleycat a/c. Thanks for any advice you guys can give and feel free to tell me if I'd be better going another route. It should also be noted that both bikes see a fair amount of touring but more 200 mile days than anything (poker runs, benefits etc) and we both ride fairly aggressive. Thanks again

Reason: Realized I didn't put the cam I wanted to use
I've read a little on here about vee-twin but no experience with them. I'm in ND so I'm a long ways from everything lol. I'll be doing the work in my garage just trying to decide who I should have do the heads and exactly which cams to use. I'm leaning towards the Andrews 57's but not 100% on that. I usually buy a kit (107) but looking at a different route with these ones
Rockouts, lifters, cams/ cam bearings (as mentioned), handle bars, LED lighting upgrades, Timken bearing conversion, 124"...the list goes on & on!

Are he rockouts a worthwhile upgrade? Haven't used them yet. And this is in a streetglide special, not a wet head. Several mods have been made but going into the engine a little this winter. When I bought this one I somehow convinced the wife I wasn't gonna mod this one lol. Dumped around 60k into my deuce this one was gonna just be to ride. It's a sickness I believe.

I'm in the process of getting the parts and pieces together to pull my crankcase for the Timken conversion and a 4 5/8" S&S crank.

Rockouts are definitely a worthwhile upgrade, the sooner the better... I just put a set into a brand new rocker box build as I'm building up a top end with roller rockers.
