I'm pulling a 96 to be repaid with a crate motor in a buddy's bike. He's going 120r. What's the best way to store a motor? Should I put some oil in the cylinders and turn it over? Time bike is just a frame and motor at this point so I can't run it to fog the motor. Any suggestions?

 

How long is it going to be in storage for? Plenty of bikes sit all winter long with no special attention

I've always made a stand of some kind and trash bagged them with a few wraps of masking tape to keep the crap off, never had any issues with rust or moisture. Leave the plugs in and cap off any open ports like the intake & oil lines, no need to dump any in the cylinders themselves.
