I'm replacing the head gaskets.
I didn't want to disturb the gaskets at the base of the cylinders.
Head is pretty stuck on there.
If I have to pull the cylinders it's gonna go bad..
Full 107"
And I'll have to sleep in the garage
don't take the chance. I have a PHD in Law I graduated from Murphy's Law. If you loosen it and it has a chance to wiggle it'll leak. buy a set of rings and base gaskets do the top end while you're there.
Yep there it is
Now you got to get the 107 kit
Because you will be worried about it
I know that I am as I never have thought about this aspect
I thought about just doing my heads and cams
Pulling them for a street port. Have a buddy in a shop that'll do em for me on the cheap.
Wasn't planning on doing a top full top end as the motor only has 18k on it.
It'd be a shame to get it all apart for only a ring job..
But a CI upgrade just isn't in the budget right now

Not to mention I just dropped the coin over the winter for all the stage 2 parts with Andrews 48H as I was planning on keeping it mostly stock past that point. The headwork was only to be a quick port.. No decking or any other changes.
Sooo...
New cams too as the Andrews are designed for the stock 9.2:1 static.
