Default M-8 idling problems

2017 Road Glide Ultra is having idling problems. Started at the end of a long trip and has continued. As I stop the bike it idles between 400 and 1200 RPM almost stalling. Took it to the dealer, they experienced it also, they tried a reboot of the computer? Still no good. Will have to take it back.

No I think he is just letting everyone know what a POS his new 2017 bike is. I was really hoping to see some great improvements in reliability with the new motor but I don't see it.

I rented a '17 Road King recently, and I gotta say I was not impressed. The idle was all over the place, and at times I thought it would die. The way they went on and on at the dealer, I thought for sure that after riding it, the temptation to buy would be overwhelming.

Thankfully there was no such temptation. It had good power, but man o man, it was a clattering sum-b!tch! Not to mention how choppy the ride was even with "The All New Suspension."

Maybe it was because it was a rental, and had probably been smokin' hot on many occasions while sitting in Oahu traffic.

I hope you can get 'er fixed up.

I rented a 17 Road Glide Ultra for Myrtle Beach bike week, and pretty much had the same experience. Couldn't believe the noise the engine made hot, saddle bags leaked, same thing with the idle

The best was the guy that told me to watch how I get on the throttle because it will take off like a rocket. I laughed

I find it very funny how many people, especially at dealers, ask me if I'm ready to "step up" to a touring bike
