i have a 2016 street bob with 2000 miles on it And the motor seems very loud at idle I hear a ticking sound .. drives me nuts, are these 103 motors just loud? I'm running Harley 20-50 conventional thought about going to Belray semi synthetic to see if it quiets the motor.
2000 miles, you wouldn't think anything would be worn out,but on any TC,its a good idea to replace the inner bearings (and junk OEM lifters),did the noise come up gradually or was it always there? you may also want to set screw the rocker shafts
Have a look around my website, you might find it interesting
Also, when chasing noise, syn oil is not your friend. Try some Spectro 25-60 dino oil.
