Specialty Tools/ Cam Swap ?'s
I am going to change the cams in my 09 FLHTC. I will change to the S&S lifters and pushrods. That brings the first question. Anti rotation pins? Will the new S&S lifters come with them? Should I order new ones to have on hand? The next questions. Is there a place to rent/beg/borrow/steal a cam bearing puller/installer? The cam locking tool? The bike has 36K miles. I will replace the cam tensioners while I am at it. Is there anything else to look at while I am in that part of the motor?
My list of stuff. Am I missing anything?
Exhaust gaskets
Oil pump O rings
Lifter cover gaskets
Cam cover gasket
S&S adjustable pushrod kit, Includes new covers, O rings, Cover gaskets.
48H cams with bearings
Assy lube
Inner and outer tensioners
Blue and red Lok Tite
