ask in the EVO section an they'll let you know if that's a good way to go or if there's better choices.

You can maintain 80", and still have great power, and/or bore your cases to accept Axtell 3 13/16" cylinders to have a 97".
FWIW, built a 108" Evo 3-4 weeks ago.

I've heard nickel sil is not the way to go. Cheaper to bore your cylinders and get Wiseco pistons.. You won't get 92 cubic inch but you can get an 83" Evo that will pull the low nineties no problem with the right heads and cam...maybe even 97/97. Also working a set of heads to 72 cc combustion chambers is a lot to get to 10.5:1... Again Better going with Wiseco high compression pistons.... Or stroke it....

you can use the REV PERF piston kit & just bore you`re cylinders, this with some 1.900 headwork makes for a very nice package

It certainly earned itself a bad reputation. Many years ago IIRC Moto Guzzi were the first bike brand to try it and BMW used it later in both bikes and cars. BMW still do AFAIK, so after umpteen years of development by loyal customers I think it has finally proved itself reliable! Being a bit of a dynosaur myself I think I would still prefer my Evo to have traditional cylinders, with 'reel' steel liners!

Some of the bad talk, for the most part, was created by a "shop" that paired the wrong rings against the NiCad bores, and had quite a few of the *****-priced engine kits out there, that scattered the hard nickel material thru the entire engine.
A class-action was being gathered together, but fizzled out.
No secret.

So you re bore the cylinders aren't they already setup to plug and play ? What cam goes with your package ?
I ran Rev Perf cylinders and many buds do as well zero issues.

the rev perf pistons are basicly+.060 over pistons,so OEM cylinders need to be bored.we wont use nikasil plated cylinders here, too many past problems (weather from improper install, defective plating or rings, whatever).we`re not
taking chances for something that is pretty much a gimmick with no real benefits over tried & true cast sleeves.we`ve used woods W8 or W9 cams in the past with these builds
