Those Andrews 37's optimze at 9.8-10.0 compression.
That said, mighty tough to get there without a domed piston, in an 88", and i do not believe those are offered anymore.

CP/Carrillo offers several domed pistons for the 88" motor; 8.6cc, 9.3cc and 9.9cc. I would think the 9.9cc would be perfect with the 37 cams and a .030" head gasket. Static would be about 9.9 and CCP about 190; should be a runner for an 88" motor. You might find that you will need a programmable ignition to work the timing.
And in the whole picture, if pistons are to be utilized, then may juat as well bore to say 98", for very short money.
Good info on the 88" pistons djl, thought that a 3.750" bore T/C piston was lost in the weeds.....guess not.

Only reason I know is that I recently bought a set of CPs for a 98" motor and saw the TC88 pistons in the catalog; otherwise I would not have known either. Having said that, I could have stuck my foot in mouth (not the first time) as I have not checked availability but it was their 2017 catalog.:icon_wink
