Default Possible issue?

I have a 2007 Ultra Classic that I bought about a month ago. I noticed inside my exhaust there seems to be a bit more exhaust build up inside the right side exhaust pipe. The exhaust I installed recently so it only has about 60 to 80 miles on them. As you can see in the pics the left side the baffle is still fairly new looking but on the right side you can see more exhaust build up. Is this something I need to be concerned with or is it normal?

Nothing to worry about. Look at the exhaust system and I think you will understand. I don't know how much of the exhaust from the left side actually flows out the right side but I would guess at least 50%. Simple explanation is that the right side muffler sees 100% of the exhaust gases from the front cylinder and some percentage of the exhaust gases from the rear cylinder. You can feel the difference by placing your hand near the exhaust outlet on each side; the exhaust pulse from the right side will be stronger than the exhaust pulse from the left side.

I never thought about that. That makes total sense. Thanks.

My pipes aren't linked and my rear cylinder emits more as can be seen in the attached photo. I presumed it was because of perhaps running a little richer due to the reduced cooling being masked by the front cylinder? I have noticed many Harley-Davidsons with this characteristic and don't think it's anything to be unduly worried about.
