Default What is the best S&S cam for 107 kit?

I would like to know what the best S&S cams would be for a 107 kit with 10:1 compression ratio and for a 10.25:1 ?

My bike is a stock 2008 ultra with a high flow air cleaner and a pro pipe and a 30 tooth trans pulley. I also have a TTS tuner . I'm not looking for a high performance build but would like to freshen up the motor and at the same time get better performance out of it. I want to go with S&S cams for the easy start feature even though there are a lot of other good cams available. I'm going to use S&S lifters , pushrods and cam chain tensioners. I'm not going to be doing anything with the heads at this time but will be in the future. I've read the forum and think that a 570 for the 10:1 might be the best choice but am unsure about a cam for the 10.25:1 . My priority is reliability as well as a good performer.

The 570 cam should be fine at both 10 and 10.25 cr. Another option could be their mr103 cam at 10:1 cr but tune would have to be spot on and could be sensitive to detonation with fuel and hot temps. 570 would be a safer bet IMHO

The S&S .570 will be right at home at 10-10.2 cr, but a an Andrews 57, or a Wood 6, will have a more aggressive delivery, same compression.
Just a thought.

I’ve set many 570’s at 10.4-10.5. Run excellent with no PMS.
