Default Upgrading twin cams

I have a 2007 ultra with the 96ci motor in it. I am wanting to find out if I can put the 110 cvo top end on it or is that to for the lower end. Also, I bought a 103 motor basket case at a swap meet and wondered if I can just drop that into my bike with minimal wrenching.

CVO 110 cylinders will require cases boring & the crank is the same thing you've got now (4.375" stroke).ide suggest boring your 96" cylinders to 107"

I have 103 cylinders, do they have the same skirt on them as the 96 cylinders do

I bought a 103HO from a 14 FLHTX swapped out in my 07, no problems and love it. Yes a 107 would be better but I did the whole job for $1500 after selling my motor.

The 103 cylinders and pistons are a direct bolt in for your 96". If you're thinking about using them I would recommend freshening them up by boring them to 107", as has been suggested earlier.

The OP was talking specifically about putting the CVO 110" top end on his bike, which will NOT fit his cases without machining. We're all aware of the 110" drop in kits, which was not the point of the OP's discussion.

I think I'm gonna do it, I was going to put my 96 stuff on my road king and put the 103 parts I bought into my 96.I just had to make sure it would work. I have the 585 reaper cam in the 96 so that should work out fine. The only issue is will the 07 parts fit in my 05 roadking.

I don't understand what the difference is? 110" is 110". The Heads can be ported, or he can buy some that he'd prefer. To my understanding, OP is interested in putting the biggest pistons and jugs on his '07.

No. The CVO 110" cylinders have a larger diameter spigot (the lower part of the cylinder that fits into the cases) than the 88"/96"/103" spigots are and the CVO cases are likewise machined to accept those particular cylinders. The "drop on" cylinders you linked to have a very thin spigot so as to fit the non-CVO cases and the liners are made of high strength steel rather than cast iron, which would fail if it were machined so thin. The kit you linked to are indeed the ones the OP would need for his build, but they are NOT the same and are NOT interchangeable with the CVO jugs.

I will add: the OP's cases can be made to accept the CVO cylinders, but the cases would need to be disassembled and machined. Not really a cost effective procedure, and if done, one might as well move up to to 117". The cost would be similar.
