I am getting the 98" build done in a week. Scott said the best pipe to get is the D and D Fat cat. what baffle do I get? One D and D site the say for bigger or modded engines got with the wrapped baffle. And does anyone have this setup? Just curious on the sound. Thank you
Talk to Scott he will know which baffle will work the best.
As far as sound goes I have the perforated wrapped baffle, and it's loud. Not bad if your riding around town, but after a few hours of non stop riding the noise start to get anoying. Of course that's my opinion and I'm getting up there in age. Don't get me wrong tho, there is nothing wrong with d&d. Their pipes are awesome, the chrome is top notch, fit is perfect and they do make power.
My brother runs the D+D fat cat with an internal baffle wrap. Sounds reasonably mellow at all non strained RPM's. But it allows the bark to escape when the throttle blade gets turned horizontal. I run a D+D with the non wrapped baffle. It's plain loud all the time. Preference when choosing. However, the older I grow, my preferences modify. I will likely wrap the baffle to quieten down my scoot.
Scott did my 98 build with a D&D has perforated baffle its not bad unless your twisting it It will definitely bark. You will love it as far as performance goes.
