To the OP. What Fat Cat did you end up going with for your 98"? I already have a Fat Cat with the louvered non-wrapped baffle on my 06 Softail Standard and I am considering going to a 98".
Oh I am very sorry. Got the bike done and went on a 3 week vacation. Long story short, didnt have oil pressure when I built the motor. Had no idea why. Oil pump replaced. So I took it out to scott. (Yes 1150 miles one way) and I am glad I did. Cam plate was shot. But i really wanted to meet scott and the crew. I will first off saying what a bunch of stand up guys. I will recommend them to anyone. Ok now about the motor. Did the recommended break in. Which was tough to say the least. Now I have 700 miles on it. And holy ****. 2nd gear, yea it breaks loose. 3rd gear pulls like a diesel. 4th and 5th, just goes. I did peg out the speedo last weekend and that bike would never do that. Now under 1/2 mile it's there. I'm not into the top speed but I want scott to build the tq monster. And oh it is hang on. It's a ball to drive. And sounds super sweet too.
I was on vacation in Illinois last week and picked up a 2007 ultra with 15,000 miles. $7000. Yea stole it. So get prepared scott. You are having another build come after I get the bike done the way I want.
sorry everyone for the late reply.
