Default Pushrod length

Just a quick question, I can't find the info on pushrod length in the manual and I know they are not the same. One is black and the other is natural. Which is which and will it run if installed in reverse. The reason for asking is I did a 110 kit on my 103 and the valve train seems a little loud. If they were backwards would it run or am I just being paranoid. The motor pulls strong and smooth, not sure if I am looking for a problem that doesn't exist or not.

you can tell by looking at the distance from the follower to head. if the distance exceeds lifter stroke, then the valve would be open and probably run like crap if at all.

Yes, it will run with the pushrods transposed but could be noisy. I forget which color the intake and exhaust pushrods are but the longer pushrods are the exhaust pushrods.

Well, Thanks everyone. I popped open the pushrod tubes and verified the black pushrods on the exhaust side for both cylinders. I will sleep better tonight.

Longest will always be the f/ex, next, r/ex, 3rd(if any) f/in, and shortest (if any) r/in.
