There's a sequence to that as well...and for realigning the oil pump.

Does it matter how the gearoter goes together? Does it need to be indexed somehow? When removing the oil pump, it came out in my hand. I put it back together. I will check the manual; but, I thought you might know. Thank you

Yes, it does. Scavenge gerotor first, separator plate, spring plate, separator plate and supply/pressure gerotor. Do you have the service manual? Should be the first thing to have before starting work. If not sure, check Ronnies Parts Finder for the parts diagram.

YES it does! Put them in wrong and you wont build oil pressure and will burn **** up real quick. Get a parts manual that has exploded views of everything or at least find the diagram online somewhere and confirm yours is right before closing it all up. Also make sure to follow sequence as said above it aligns the pump.

Thank you. Yes I have a manual, so I'm not sure why I asked. Iv'e been away from this for a long time. It's all starting to come back to me now. I thought I remembered that there was an order to the pump assy. I guess I just asked to remind myself to look in the manual. Also, thanks for the reminder to use exploded view in parts catalog.
