Adjustable vs solid pushrods
You are getting into the cam chest, why not have an nice fresh set of rockerbox gaskets installed also?
I do not subscribe to the idea that using adjustables allows you to set a different pre load, you may change the running position of the piston inside the lifter, but the load on the pushrod does not change, the lifter has the same amount of pressure on the piston no matter where its running position is, be it high or low inside the lifter.
I agree with Madnss that using an adjustable pushrod in conjunction with a self adjusting hydraulic lifter is silly (don`t let the guys who sell these things see this..).
OP, don`t get all puffed up when you see an answer you don`t like. You aren`t the only one we are posting our answers for.
