lifter axle shifted
While installing rockerlockers I thought it would be wise to inspect the lifters on my 2010 fatboy 120r. One of them (front inlet) wouldn't come out.
When turning it's cam up, the lifter would come up but got completely jammed and wouldn't move. I suspected a shifted roller axle,
After removing the cams I could confirm that. The axcle was shifted outward. After a gentle knock on the axle it moven mack to center and the lifter came out.
The shifted axle made a quit deep vertical scratch from around 8mm in the crankcase.
I believe the lifters are stock 120r. All look fine, no play, scatches or flat spots.
I couldn't notice or hear anything while riding it this year.
Shouldn't this axcle be fixed ?
What to do:
- fix the axle somehow (weld ?)
- replace this
lifter
- replace all lifters ? (with what ? stock or aftermarket)
Thnx,
Mike.
