Default Engine build question

I have a 2014 EG with the stage 5 Tire Shredder kit installed, 114 HP and 130 FT LBS torque, not bad. I have 24k miles and the bike is going in for the 25k service. The dealer suggested that the lifters be replaced with this service. Are there anything including replacing the lifters needed/required?

If the lifters are not making noise, bleeding down, etc., no need to replace and replacing them with OEM lifters is not the way to go. If replaced, go to S&S Premiums or an equivalent aftermarket lifter; several options to choose from.

Yeah, I'm not sure when I had the Stage 5 kit installed "if" the lifters were replaced with required lifters included in the kit and if they might need replacing now. As with this Stage 5 kit I just wonder what if anything might be preventive maintenance?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. OEM lifters should be good for 25K-35K miles in a "performance" motor. When it's time to replace, go to the aftermarket.

Right and here I am at my 25k service. Should I replace them? And it's not that I want to spend the coin, just wondering if it's time especially with lots of highway riding.

Your in there so it's good insurance to replace with a quality aftermarket lifter and do the inner cam bearings with a set of koyo's. 25k on HD lifters ...you got your money's worth.

A little bit of time and a FSM will tell you what you have.. Very simple job to pull lifters.. And if you have adjustable pushrods even easier..

Completely agree with all of the suggestions above

Couple things stand out though about the OP, 14 bike with "tire shredder" kit installed. I thought the first time I remember seeing "tire shredder" was when they came out with the 110" "drop in" cylinders, which was only a few years back.
So has it been 24,000 since the kit was installed, or is that the total odometer reading right now?
If that's total odometer the service writer is probably just tying to sell from their standardized list with no regards to when the engine work was done
Was the engine work performed by a dealer?
Either way I would have them replaced with a high quality lifter as suggested above
just asking for my own curiosity
