Ok so the fuel pump is bad ordered a replacement, but I’m getting power to the fuel pump so that’s good. I pulled the injectors and they look super clean the bike only has 2000 miles on it. Fuel line is not clogged. I’m not sure what the resistance is supposed to be on the spark plugs (6r12) or the wires for the spark plugs or even really how to test them so any help with that would be great
I don’t know what I’d do without you guys
And yes the battery is good I bought a multimeter to check it
Pretty much thought so on the pump with gas that old. You can't see the internal filter or pintle of the injectors - all you can see is the protective disk. So get the pump replaced, and go from there. Again, don't be surprised if it needs injectors.
put a new fuel pump in it primes fine, but it still won’t start. On the bright side it doesn’t sound like it has a weak battery now I’m just not 100% sure what to do next.
ok so I bought spark plugs just cause I could get them today and they’re cheap the engine really sounds like it wants to start, but now it makes loud pops occasionally while starting and another noise I’m not sure what.
Have you checked to see if there are any diagnostic codes popping up? Did you load test the battery? After 5 yrs those injectors are probably gonna need either a professional cleaning or replacement. My 2 cents.
P1004, P1351, P1354, B1005 are the codes that showed up. I ended up replacing the crank shaft position sensor still won’t start. I think I’ll replace the fuel injectors next my only issue is that I tested them with fuel injector cleaner. They seemed good both sprayed evenly no issue, also I think they’re working because there was fuel leaking out of the head and partially out of the fuel injectors after trying to start it a few times.

Clear the codes and see which ones come back. With all the dinking around, I bet you have powered it up or cranked it with things disconnected. Fuel shouldn't leak out of the intake or injector at all. It should pulse an even mist, then stop. Going back to my first post, years old gas that ruined a pump is certainly going to affect the injectors. I don't understand what it means when you say you tested them with fuel injection cleaner.
None of the codes have come back I cleared them a couple days ago after I wrote them down. Two of them are for the ignition coil both front and rear 1351& 1354. 1004 is the system relay. The reason I replaced the crank shaft sensor is because someone said it might not throw a code and since no codes came back I decided that was probably the problem.
As for the fuel injectors I tested them by removing them hooking a tube up to one of them and filling it with fuel injector cleaner. I pressurized the tube and gave the fuel injector power for a second to mimic the pulse a bike would send to them. The mist seemed even. But I’ll end up replacing them anyway lol
b1005 means that there was an empty tank for more than 12 seconds or something.
I think the fuel leaking out was from trying to crank it to many times and I flooded the engine cause it doesn’t leak out if I try to start it once or twice but When I tried to start it over and over again is when it started leaking. Idk I’ll probably just take it to the dealership if I can’t get the fuel injectors or a new coil pack to work
