Default 110 to 117 head work question.

I’m looking to have my heads done before having my 117 kit installed . I’m looking for opinions on what I should have done and who you guys recommend to do the work. I don’t know anything about head work so please feel free to educate and give opinions.

thanks guys .

110 heads lend themselves to porting very well if done correctly.in stock form, they flow in the 270 area (not so great),the throat is too big so what we do here is to use a 2.100 intake valve instead of the 2.080 OEM valve, this makes the throat smaller, percentage wise.compression must also be addressed as the 110 heads have very large chambers so make sure the 117 kit your going to use has domes that will get you close to desired compression without having to mill half the head off.after porting we see 325+ CFM @ 28"
