Default Screamin Eagle Heads

Hello, Is it possible to simply put screamin eagle heads on a TC96 without doing anything else? I am recommending a complete stage IV, but all he wants is screamin eagle heads on a stock motor. I've never seen this done. Thoughts?

Thank you

You can certainly put them on but it'll be a waste of good money. There won't be much of if any horsepower or torque gains to be had running just a stock engine.

not a good idea, with cams & the proper compression for those cams,it will work great, but simply installing heads will most likely result in a performance loss.going to atleast 103 or even better yet 107 would also be highly reccomended

Which heads? Some will keep it a slug, others will make it worse

Ok, so this is what I thought. Just wanted to double check to make sure I wasn't going crazy. Thank you for your feedback!

Now, if you get the correct pistons at the same time, setting compression to match the needs of the cam you are using, it's a different story.

I don't think they are still available but if the heads happen to be the early SE Performance heads, they would be an excellent addition. Back in the day when they were available, there was a configuration of those heads, 95" displacement and S&S570 cams that was a consistent 100/100 combination known as the "Hippo" build after the creator who is no longer with us. The SE Performance heads came decked from the factory about .050" for smaller chambers, 78cc IIRC which provided the compression boost to make the TQ/HP.

My 2000 Springer has Screaming Eagle CNC ported heads, making it a 107 ci. It has lots of power. It required manual compression releases. It also has a six speed trans.

I hate to tell you this but the heads alone won't give your bike a 107" engine. That will take other parts to accomplish.
